By the way, Tamarigi translates as 'tamarisks' and those are the trees that make up the south view of the villa. They stand along the boccia lane and create pleasant shade for the players in the summer.
So after the total renovation this is the sight you will behold if you approach the villa from the parking area in the south.

You will immediately notice the bright, honey-coloured sandstone ("tufo"), which was revealed under a layer of the old plaster.
By now you will certainly have already taken in the curved walls with arched windows, which complete the upper facade. As decorative elements of the house they represent ionic-mediterranean lightness, but they also protect the roof garden from the sirocco winds, which in winter occasionally blow across from the sea.
From the roof terrace with the large dining table under the shady wooden pavilion the arches grant fascinating views of the close green surroundings. It is a very special experience to savour the colourful sunsets from here - add perhaps an ice-cold Prosecco and the holiday-happiness is complete!
At night, the sandstone arches are bathed in fabulous blue light as a widely visible landmark and accent of the Tenuta 'Tufo nel Blu'.

Follow us into the romantic garden under high pines. On hot days you will always find a pleasant, airy place in the shade to talk, read or dream. But it is not yet the time to try out the hammock under the pine trees - we continue our tour!
We leave the marble stairs to the rooftop to our left and go into the courtyard, the 'village square' of the Tenuta. The centre of life on the complex. This is where lively family parties and cheerful barbecue bashes with good friends in front of the big brick grill take place and where the residents of the Tenuta meet ... -- The courtyard connects and yet naturally separates the villa from the garden house 'Il Portico', just as one would wish.
Now is the time that we go inside the villa. Let's go from the terrace lined by palms into the luminous, truly luxurious kitchen diner of the villa I Tamarigi. This kitchen is certainly the heart of the house, an Eldorado for chefs and those who might want to be. It leaves nothing to be desired and is equipped with everything you need to wine and dine larger groups: a large 5-flame hob, dishwasher, refrigerator with industrial water tap and freezer, a giant oven, an espresso and coffee machine ... of course there are also enough pots, cutlery, nice dishes and sufficient glasses. You do no need to drink your rich Apulian red wine from water glasses: in the glass cabinet you find specific wine, champagne, brandy, beer and water glasses.
Integrated in the kitchen is the cozy dining area for cooler days - most of the year you will eat outside on one of the beautiful terraces. There are plenty of large or more intimate outdoor spaces with tables, chairs and couches - you have so much choice! From the kitchen you get into the living room of the villa, 'I Tamarigi'. Again, blue is the favourite colour and also here the old sandstone was brought to light. From the comfortable sofas you look through the high arched windows onto the romantic garden. Especially in the cooler season this is a place for reading, listening to music and talking - or for relaxing movie nights, as the living room contains not only a music system but also a flat-screen television with all satellite programs (Astra) and a DVD player. Our extensive DVD collection is available to our guests as well as the CD collection and the library. On colder winter evenings, you can also light the cosy ceramic stove, in addition to the central heating, and enjoy the flickering fire. The whole house is very generous and elegant, but also furnished to be easy to clean - with real wood furniture, Terra-cotta tiles, airy curtains ...
